Also, special thanks go to Debra Dodson for getting the club featured in the "Danville Register & Bee" newspaper. Debra got the club on the front page, above the fold--a very prominent position.

Car for Sale

William Harr of Abingdon, VA, surprised us all with his "This Miata for Sale in 183 Days" sign. I hope you change your mind, William. Glad you could make the (long) drive--it was good to see you again.

OTM

Bryan Gregory showed up in an OTM (Other Than Miata) with some "lame story" about car trouble. It was interesting to learn that Janet helped him change out his engine a few days ago. Way to go Janet! Maybe the two of you could open up a repair shop just for the club members....

By the way, Janet... Bryan may still need some help installing the air horn he won at the last meeting.

Happy Birthday

At the meeting, Jolene Walters celebrated her 50th birthday. With the assistance of her daughter and husband, Jack, she shared her birthday cake with the club.

Jack, the cake was good. Can you tell us again, "Why didn't you bring any forks?"

69 and a 5-Speed

It was great to meet Bob and Aileen Thorne of Blairs, VA. Aileen is 69 years old, and she traded her Buick for a Crystal Blue Metallic Miata at the beginning of this year. Yup, it's a 5-speed. What a great idea!
